Metro Bus Offices seized in Puerto Plata

PUERTO PLATA. – A group of lawyers, accompanied by law enforcement officers, carried out a seizure at the Metro Group (Metro Buses) transportation company in this Atlantic town Puerto Plata on Monday morning.

The seizure took place at the facilities of the transportation company located at the intersection of Beller, 16 de Agosto, and Presidente Juan Bosch streets, in the upper part of San Felipe de Puerto Plata.

This unexpected action caused confusion and concern among dozens of local and foreign citizens who rely on Metro Bus services to travel to Santiago and Santo Domingo.

A video circulating on social media shows Metro Group buses being moved from the terminal to an undisclosed location, reportedly towards the municipalities of Villa Montellano and Sosúa.
