Dominican Bronx Parade promotes back-home culture abroad

New York.- Ruling PLD party political leader and Dominican Alternate envoy to the UN Luis Lithgow on Sunday urged his countrymen to promote their culture abroad.

During his starring role in the Grand Dominican Parade held in the Bronx Sunday, the official lauded the turnout and rode atop one of the most colourful floats which promotes his country’s push to eradicate illiteracy.

“Dominican nationals’ exposure to culture and folklore Is important to raise patriotic fervor, displaying and respecting the flag and other patriotic symbols,” said Lithgow, who also represented the Dominican Consulate.
