RTVD premieres “Trinitarios” series in New York

New York.- On Sunday, Dominican Radio and Television (RTVD) premiered the first Dominican animated historical series, “Trinitarios,” at the Juan Pablo Duarte School in Upper Manhattan, New York. The event also marked the announcement of RTVD International’s upcoming launch, branded as “La señal de la Patria.”

“Trinitarios” is an 8-episode animated series that tells the story of the Dominican Republic’s fight for independence. Directed by Luis Cepeda and produced by Iván Ruiz, it uses cutting-edge animation technology to bring to life the history and sacrifices of national heroes, including Juan Pablo Duarte. The series aims to be an educational tool for schools, offering a modern way for young generations to learn about Dominican history.

The premiere also introduced RTVD International, a project envisioned by President Luis Abinader, designed to connect Dominicans abroad with their homeland by promoting the country’s culture, history, and tourism. The event featured high-profile attendees, including New York Mayor Eric Adams and Congressman Adriano Espaillat.
