Asphalt paving program progresses in Santiago

Santiago.- The Mayor’s Office of Santiago has intensified its road infrastructure improvement efforts through an extensive asphalt paving program targeting key neighborhoods. Engineer Silvio García, Director of Municipal Works, stated that the initiative is being executed in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works (MOPC) and the Dominican Municipal League (LMD), with support from President Luis Abinader and Mayor Ulises Rodríguez.

The project aims to improve traffic flow and accessibility in residential areas like El Dorado II, while gradually expanding to all neighborhoods in the municipality. Residents have expressed satisfaction with the program, highlighting the high-quality asphalt and minimal disruption to daily traffic.

The initiative is part of the Mayor’s Office and Central Government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life and ensuring all communities in Santiago benefit from modernized infrastructure.
