Kidnapped Colonel wounded in Azua prison, undergoing treatment

Azua.- Colonel Ricardo Bidó, who was kidnapped and shot by an inmate at the prison located at kilometer 15 of Azua, is currently receiving medical treatment at the General Teaching Hospital of the National Police (HOSGEDOPOL). He sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his left thigh and lumbar region. The bullets caused entry and exit holes in the thigh, while a third wound in his lower back did not have an exit point.

The incident ended with a successful rescue operation that freed Colonel Bidó and prison officer Alberto Montilla. The inmate responsible for the attack was killed during the confrontation.
