PRM leaders in New York criticize Consul for arbitrary layoffs

New York.- Leaders of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) in New York are voicing concerns over recent actions by Consul Jesús Vásquez, whom they accuse of arbitrary layoffs that have affected key party members. According to the anonymous complainants, Vásquez is favoring close associates and the secretary of the diaspora, Neftalí Fuerte, which has intensified internal tensions within the party.

The leaders argue that Vásquez’s management style contrasts sharply with that of his predecessor, Eligio Jáquez, who was known for community support and open dialogue. They claim that Vásquez’s decisions are eroding the loyalty of PRM’s base in New York, transforming what was once a stronghold of support into a source of discontent.

Calling on party leaders in the Dominican Republic to intervene, the PRM representatives warn that if these issues are not addressed, they could severely damage the party’s standing among the Dominican diaspora. They emphasize the need for a leadership approach that values inclusion and respect for the contributions of its members.
