CNZFE approves 10 new companies in Free Zones

Santo Domingo.- The National Council of Export Free Zones (CNZFE) approved the establishment of 10 new companies, projecting an investment of RD$972.7 million, the creation of 926 direct jobs, and an influx of US$12.1 million in foreign currency. This decision came during the council’s fifth ordinary session, chaired by Minister of Industry, Commerce, and MIPYMES, Víctor “Ito” Bisonó.

Minister Bisonó highlighted that these approvals bring the total number of companies greenlit during the current administration to 342, with a combined projected investment of US$792.6 million and the creation of 52,737 new jobs for Dominicans. Notable new companies include KDB Services Group in the services sector and several in the industrial sector, such as Drytech, Tabacalera Cibao Central (Tabacice), and Polymed. These companies will operate in various industries including manufacturing, packaging, and international call services.
