Moca.- The Popular Movement of Pilgrims and the Coalition of Popular Organizations of CIBAO are urging the community to protest the upcoming tax reform, which they believe unfairly targets the working class. The protest will take place on Wednesday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m., with a candlelight vigil at the Farmer’s Monument in Moca.
Organizers describe the event as a symbolic protest against an unequal system that benefits the few while harming the many. They are asking participants to wear black to signify mourning for lost rights and to raise their voices against what they see as government abuse.
The groups stress the need for peaceful but firm action, calling on citizens to stand together and demand justice. They aim to ensure the government hears their concerns and halts what they describe as tax injustice.
