Dominican Port Authority addresses minor damage to Miches pier

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) announced that recent strong waves and adverse weather conditions lifted some boards at the Miches pier, though no significant damage was reported. The pier remains operational, with safety measures in place to protect both the structure and visitors.

Apordom stated that once weather conditions improve, a technical team will promptly repair the pier to ensure its full functionality. These repairs will be completed as efficiently as possible.

Reaffirming its commitment to the safety and upkeep of national port infrastructure, Apordom encouraged citizens to stay updated through official channels and to follow recommendations from authorities, particularly during periods of adverse weather.
