Constitutional judge calls arrest order against him ‘bombastic’

Santo Domingo.- Constitutional Court justice Wilson Gómez on Thursday called the arrest warrant issued National District 2ndPanel Court against him “judicial bombastic,” stoked by was lawyers “devoid of ethics and situated in the interests of those accused of forging land titles.”

He said the court, in a “questionable attitude” ordered the release of four of the five accused of the felony which “shocked the national conscience with singular force and roiled the public order in the worst manner, such as the case of the engineer Francina Hungria," shot several times in the face but managed to survive.

In a press conference at the Constituional Court, Gomez added that as a judge he has never shirked responsibilities in any case.
