198 Canadian travel agents explore Puerto Plata’s attractions

Puerto Plata.- A group of 198 travel agents from the Montreal-based tour operator TravelBrands visited Puerto Plata to explore its historical and cultural attractions. The agents were aboard the Carnival Celebration cruise ship, which brought 5,648 passengers to the destination.

This initiative, part of agreements signed by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, TravelBrands, and OPT Toronto, is seen as a significant boost for the Dominican Republic’s tourism industry, according to Mitur’s social media posts.

During the tour, the agents visited several key attractions, including the Amber Museum, Central Park, Paseo de Doña Blanca, Calle de Las Sombrillas, the Cathedral of San Felipe Apóstol, and the Rum and Tobacco Museum, among other highlights of the “Bride of the Atlantic.”
