Rains cause landslide on Jarabacoa-Constanza highway

Jarabacoa – The rains that have fallen on the Dominican Republic continue to cause damage, and this time, not even the roads between mountains have been unharmed.

The Buena Vista firefighters reported that, due to the constant rains, a landslide occurred on the Jarabacoa-Constanza highway in the Nigua section, blocking the road’s passage.

He indicated they are doing debris removal work to restore traffic as soon as possible, although the rains have made it difficult.

No injuries or property damage have been reported so far, but the road remains closed, so those who travel it must use an alternate route.
