Yaritza Reyes shines in new film Amanece en Samaná

Spain.- Yaritza Reyes, former model and Dominican Republic ambassador, has strengthened her acting career on the European screen with a role in the romantic comedy Amanece en Samaná. The Spanish film, directed by Rafa Cortés and produced by Fogata Films, highlights the stunning beaches and tourist sites of the Samaná peninsula. Released on November 8 across Spain and Europe, the film stars notable actors including María Luisa Mayol, Luis Tosar, and Charles Dance, alongside Reyes.

For Reyes, the film holds deep personal and professional significance. As head of the Grupo Samaná Foundation, which works for the area’s community development, she sees Amanece en Samaná as a key opportunity to promote tourism and showcase Samaná’s natural beauty. “This project is a milestone for my career and a gift to my beloved Samaná,” Reyes shared, underscoring her commitment to supporting the region.

The movie, adapted from Jordi Galcerán’s play Cancún, is set entirely in the Dominican Republic. It weaves Samaná’s beaches, Los Haitises National Park, and scenic landscapes into the storyline, positioning the peninsula as an idyllic tourist destination. Reyes, known for roles in Mía es la Venganza (Spain), Mallorca Files (UK), and Unos Días al Sol (Mexico), adds this film to her growing list of international credits, further solidifying her presence on the global stage.
