Government launches “Connected Posts” initiative

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel), in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Police, has launched the first phase of the “Connected Posts” project. The initiative, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, began in the Cristo Rey sector of the National District.

The program will initially equip four police stations—La 40, El Caliche, Puerto Isabel, and Cabo Erlin—with modern technological infrastructure. Each station will receive two complete computer sets (Dell D32M CPU, 01-FTF8 monitor, mouse, keyboard, UPS), a multifunction printer, and 40/20 Mbps internet service, with coverage for two years. The official launch event was attended by Indotel Board President Guido Gómez Mazara, Interior and Police Minister Faride Raful, and National Police Regional Deputy Director Julio Ramírez Lugo.
