Santo Domingo—The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported this Saturday that it still maintains one province on yellow alert and another on green alert due to cloudy conditions with scattered rains, isolated thunderstorms, and wind gusts.

The climatic effects are due to the remnants associated with a frontal system, as reported by the agency on its X account, formerly Twitter.

Samaná, especially Punta Balandrita, is on yellow alert. In comparison, Puerto Plata is on green alert.

“People are recommended to refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that present high volumes of water in the provinces under alert,” the COE communicated through its X account.
