Dominican Ambassador highlights Peru’s potential as Textile Industry partner

Perú.- César Florentino de Jesús Herrera Díaz, the Dominican Republic’s Ambassador to Peru, emphasized Peru’s potential as a key supplier of natural and synthetic fibers for the Dominican textile industry. He highlighted materials such as cotton, fine wool, linen, polyester, and nylon, which could bolster local production.

The ambassador’s remarks came during a meeting with Rene Rivas, President of the Dominican Association of Textile Industries (Aditex). He noted ongoing negotiations for a bilateral trade agreement aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

Rivas, accompanied by Aditex Executive Director Rommel Santos, expressed optimism about the collaboration, underscoring the importance of fostering partnerships to support the growth of the Dominican textile sector.
