Four injured in multi-vehicle collision on Duarte Highway

Santo Domingo.- A multi-vehicle collision on Friday morning in the Los Arroces Adentro sector of the Duarte Highway, near the Jacaranda Parador in Bonao, left four people injured. The accident involved two trucks, a car, and a pickup truck.

Emergency response teams provided on-site assistance before transferring the injured to nearby medical facilities. The National Emergency and Security System 911 led the response, deploying four ambulances from the Directorate of Extra-Hospital Emergency Services (DAEH), along with support from the Fire Department, National Police, and the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (Digesette). Efforts to manage traffic and investigate the cause of the accident are ongoing.

Authorities have urged citizens to ensure the swift passage of emergency vehicles during critical situations. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
