Santiago.– President Luis Abinader delivered the general renovation and expansion of the Emergency of the Doctor Jorge Armando Martínez Municipal Hospital this Saturday. This work will benefit more than 57,000 inhabitants of the Tamboril municipality and surrounding areas.
With an investment of RD$143,650,243.48, the National Health Service (SNS) also equipped the renovated infrastructure and repaired the health center’s electrical system to ensure the provision of dignified and quality health services to its users.
《The health system has about 198 hospitals and 1,500 First Level Care Centers. Under the management of President Luis Abinader, with this hospital, we have number 61 equipped and transformed and already more than 600 CPN delivered, functional, available to the population,” emphasized Mario Lama, executive director of the SNS.
Likewise, he detailed the renovation and work on the electrical system of the Doctor Jorge Armando Martínez Municipal Hospital, with an investment of RD $ 74,613,917.96, which allowed the readjustment of the areas of Laboratory, Sample Collection, and Internment, with nine beds, X-rays, Sonography, Mammography, two Nursing Stations; Surgical block with an operating room, delivery room; two pre-surgical beds, two post-surgical beds, sterilization, Neonatal room with four cribs and two incubators.
The head of the SNS reported that eight offices, four dentistry modules, and the laundry, kitchen, and dining areas were renovated. Meanwhile, the expansion of the Emergency, which had a budget of more than 32 million pesos, now has a Nebulization, Triage, Cure, and Observation area with three beds, a Plaster, a Nursing Station, and a Waiting Room. The renovated spaces were also equipped with an amount of RD$ 36,545,722.69.
The directors of the SNS, Alexander Ramírez of Infrastructure and Equipment, Yoany Arias from Clinical Laboratories and Medical Images, Deyanira Galán of Nursing Services, Bernardo Hilario of the Norcentral Regional Health Service, Bolívar Quezada from the Jorge Armando Martínez Municipal Hospital, Rosa Santos, provincial governor, Daniel Rivera, provincial senator, and medical and administrative personnel were also present at the delivery.
