Call for volunteers for Beach Cleanup

SantoDomingo.- The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources is mobilizing anumber of institutions to clean up more than 150 beaches and riverbanks acrossthe country.

TheMinistry called on the public to volunteer for National Beach and RiverbankCleaning Day 2014 on September 20th.

Theevent is being organized as part of celebrations of International BeachClean-up Day, with the aim of raising citizen awareness to prevent pollution ofbeaches and riverbanks. Volunteers can register online at www.ambiente.gov.do
