China Taipei wins Premier 12 Baseball Championship

Japan.- The Chinese Taipei team triumphed in the Premier 12 baseball tournament, defeating Japan 4-0 at Tokyo Dome and securing their first championship title in the event’s history. All four runs for Chinese Taipei came in the fifth inning, sparked by Chia-Cheng Lin’s home run. Chen-Wei Chen and Li Lin contributed to the rally, and Chieh-Hsien Chen sealed the victory with a three-run homer. This marks a departure from the previous champions: Korea in 2015 and Japan in 2019.

The United States claimed third place, defeating Venezuela 6-1. Chieh-Hsien Chen of Chinese Taipei was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, finishing with a .625 batting average, including 15 hits, two home runs, and six RBIs over seven games.

In related news, the Panorama Media Group and the Dominican Baseball Federation signed an agreement to ensure coverage of all international baseball events involving the Dominican national teams. This partnership culminated in broadcasts of the U15 World Cup, the U12 Pre-World Cup, and the Premier 12, with plans to continue coverage in 2025.
