Credit card cloning lab raided

Santo Domingo.- The Police dismantled anunderground credit and debit card-cloning laboratory Thursday in the La Agustinita sector of the National District

The raid was carried out jointly with the public prosecutor’soffice. Luis Antonio Vásquez Peña (Melvin), the owner of thehouse where the equipment was found, was arrested. A total of 68 cards withdifferent bank logos were seized. The authorities have not disclosed the namesof the banks whose cards were cloned.

The Police was acting on intelligence information under judicialwarrant 0037-08-2014.

As well as the cards, they also confiscated a laptop computer they believe was used foronline fraud.
