Senators: 28 of 29 colleagues agree with Loma Miranda National Park

Santo Domingo.- Senators from 28 provinces and the National District, out of 29, approved and made into law the proposal which declares Loma Miranda a National Park.

After the Chamber of Deputies approved it Tuesday night, the Senate favored the legislative proposal and declared it as urgent in two consecutive readings. Only pending now is its signing and further publication by the Executive Power.

Before the debates were opened, ruling PLD party senator Euclides Sanchez requested the proposal to be declared as urgent; senator Felix Nova, of Monseñor Noel province, reiterated his opposition to the initiative.
