Julio Peña represents the Dominican Republic at Mr. World 2024

Hanoi, Vietnam.- Julio Peña, representing the Dominican Republic at Mr. World 2024 in Vietnam, achieved remarkable success, earning recognition for having the best social project in the Americas and the Caribbean. His initiative, Apoyan2, also ranked among the top five social projects out of 60 countries, alongside representatives from Vietnam, Spain, Myanmar, and South Africa.

Peña’s project focuses on supporting vulnerable people and animals, particularly through his work with foundations rescuing homeless dogs and assisting orphaned children with disabilities. His mission, “Marcas Huellas, Crear Lazos y Cambia Vidas,” strives to create emotional connections between people and animals, enhancing both their well-being. Motivated by his passion for animal rights and social causes, Peña trained as a dog trainer to advance his social initiative.

A psychology student and mechanical industry worker with a love for extreme sports, including mixed martial arts, Peña also excelled in the sports competition during Mr. World. He expressed gratitude for the support of the foundations he collaborates with, including Albergue SOS and Fundación Proyecto Ayuda al Niño, which have been integral to the success of Apoyan2.
