Funglode expands presence with new office in Madrid

Spain.- The Global Foundation for Democracy and Development (Funglode) will inaugurate its new office in Madrid, Spain, this Friday, marking a significant step in fostering academic, cultural, and intellectual collaboration between the Dominican Republic and Europe. This expansion highlights Funglode’s commitment to building strategic international partnerships and enhancing its presence across the European continent.

The Madrid office aims to deepen connections between Dominican and Spanish institutions in academia, culture, and science. Funglode has already established strong ties with prominent Spanish organizations, such as the Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation, collaborating on academic training and cultural exchange initiatives. Additionally, partnerships with institutions like the Complutense University of Madrid, the Carolina Foundation, RTVE, and Casa de América have focused on advancing research and promoting democracy, sustainable development, and Ibero-American culture.

The opening ceremony will feature Leonel Fernández, president of Funglode, alongside Spanish intellectuals and representatives of academic and cultural institutions. With this new office, Funglode aims to strengthen existing collaborations, foster new partnerships, and contribute to global efforts in education, research, and human development.
