Scattered showers through Sunday

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office – Onamet- forecasts an increase in light to moderate downpours for Friday afternoon, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusts of wind

It said a trough combined with moisture from a weak tropical wave over Puerto Rico will increase the probability of scattered showers over most of the country Saturday and Sunday, especially the southern and western regions.

Onamet adds that some local showers and possible thunderstorms can be expected Friday afternoon , especially over the Central Mountains, the northeast and border area.
