First organization of Dominican Pilots Abroad established

Santo Domingo.- The aviation sector celebrates the creation of Dominican Pilots Abroad (DPA), the first organization uniting Dominican pilots residing outside the country. Founded on October 29, 2024, DPA aims to showcase Dominican excellence and advance aviation in the Dominican Republic.

DPA boasts over 100 members with expertise across diverse aviation fields, including commercial, military, and business aviation, as well as air traffic control and flight training. Members have extensive experience operating aircraft such as the Boeing 737, Airbus A320, and Embraer 190. The organization plans to offer scholarships to underprivileged youth, collaborate with key institutions, and share its expertise to strengthen the country’s aviation sector.

Led by President Nelson Collado and Vice President Jackson Rosario, DPA emphasizes unity and inspiration. “We return united, carrying Dominican excellence to inspire and pave the way for future pilots,” said Rosario. The board of directors includes eight members, supported by a seven-member advisory council guiding its initiatives.
