Washington.- President Barack Obama on Monday named 22 countries whose drug production or trafficking have the highest impact on the United States, AP reports.
In an annual report sent to Congress, Obama listed Bolivia, Burma, and Venezuela as three countries which have "demonstrably" failed to honor their international anti-drug commitments during the past 12 months, the same as during the last few years.
The 22 countries: Afghanistan, Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia, Burma, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Laos, Mexico, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
The document states concern with poppy crops in Mexico, the main supplier of opium, followed by Colombia and Guatemala.
