Illegal sand deposits shut down in Bonao by DINTEL

Monsignor Nouel.- The Cibao Sur Regional Intelligence Subdirectorate (DINTEL), in coordination with Deputy Prosecutor Agustín Susana Galate, closed several unauthorized sand collection centers in Bonao during an operation early Friday morning.

The closures targeted two facilities owned by Aneury Castros Collado on the Las Salvia-Los Quemados highway and another owned by Edwin José Benscome Calvajal on the Duarte highway in the Los Barros Dos sector. These actions are part of efforts to combat the illegal exploitation and storage of aggregate materials without proper authorization.

Authorities have urged the public to report illegal activities that harm the environment and hinder sustainable development in the region. This operation underscores the government’s commitment to environmental protection and legal compliance.
