Medina keeps busy in NY prior to UN gathering

New York.- President Danilo Medina participated in a private meeting Monday morning of heads of State and world leaders with former US president Bill Clinton.

The meeting was held in the New York Sheraton hotel, prior to the opening of the 10th annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, from September 21 to 24 with the topic "Re-imagining the impact"

Clinton lauded Medina’s presence and interest in issues to be addressed in the activity, by speakers including IBM CEO Ginni Romethy and World Bank president Jim Yong Kim, who shared a panel with Hillary Clinton.

Chile President Michelle Bachelet and Jordan king Abdullah II bin Al Hussein also formed part of the panel, accompanied by Bill Clinton.
