They request help in the search for Adrián Valdez, missing since January 6th

The Valdez family says they are experiencing moments of anguish after the disappearance of Adrián Valdez, known as “Willy,” a 34-year-old man whose whereabouts have been unknown since January 6, 2025.

According to his sister, Arianna Valdez, Adrián left his residence in the Washington neighborhood that day for Santo Domingo, where he worked as an Uber motorcycle taxi driver.

At the end of his day, he traveled to the province of San Cristóbal to pick up a friend, of whom there is no identification. His relative added that since then, there has been no contact with him.

Difficulties in the search process

Arianna explained that Adrian’s wife tried to report the case to the authorities the day after the disappearance. However, he was told first to search hospitals and morgues before they could launch a formal investigation.

Later, when the relatives went again to the Criminal Investigations Department (DICRIM) in Peravia, they were informed that a warrant from the prosecutor’s office was necessary to review the security cameras that could provide clues about Adrian’s latest movements.

When trying to manage this order in the Peravia and San Cristóbal prosecutor offices, both institutions alleged that the case did not correspond to them.

In this sense, the family urgently requests that the prosecutor of Peravia, Georgia Abreu, sign the necessary document to speed up the investigations. This is a case under the jurisdiction of this province, where the young Valdez is from and departed.

“We just want to find him”

“The only thing we ask is that the authorities help us and act quickly. Every minute counts,” said Arianna, deeply concerned for her brother’s safety.

The Valdez family is calling on anyone who may have information on Adrián Valdez’s whereabouts. If you have relevant information, contact 849-445-5700 or 829-206-3080.
