Public Works Dept. reinforces road safety during long holiday weekend

Santo Domingo.– As part of the security measures for the long holiday weekend, the Public Works Ministry’s Land Transport Dept. announced it has strengthened prevention and roadside assistance with new units and personnel.

According to a statement by the Public Works Ministry (MOPC), each member of the Military and Police Commission is prepared to provide technical and security assistance to citizens, along with members of the National Police and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET).

The document stated that the population has been satisfied and felt safer with the Military and Police Commission work of surveillance, prevention and road assistance in the main arterial roads.
