Fire destroys several buses at Caribe Tours parking lot

Santo Domingo.- A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon at a Caribe Tours parking lot in Santo Domingo Este, destroying at least seven buses and partially damaging three others. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The fire, which started around 2:00 p.m., affected buses that were reportedly out of service. Several firefighting units managed to contain the blaze, but the cause remains unknown.

The company has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident, while investigators from the Santo Domingo Este Fire Department continue to examine the scene on Las Américas Highway and Juan Pablo Segundo.
