Military seizes smuggled gasoline in Dajabón

Dajabón.- The National Army intercepted a black Mitsubishi Montero Sport loaded with 162 gallons of gasoline in the Los Miches sector of Dajabón. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled upon noticing military presence.

During the inspection on the Don Miguel Pista-Don Miguel Corral road, authorities discovered 32 jugs containing five gallons each, along with two additional gallons of fuel. Reports suggest the gasoline was being smuggled into Haiti, and an investigation is underway to determine its origin.

The seized fuel and vehicle were taken to the 10th Infantry Battalion headquarters and will be handed over to the Specialized Corps for Fuel Control (CECCOM) for further processing.
