Ministry of Defense denies ties to CS-2 Security Group

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Defense (MIDE) has denied any institutional connection with the Services Center Group (CS-2), an organization allegedly training young people in Los Alcarrizos for citizen security efforts while wearing black uniforms and using the national flag as an insignia.

The clarification comes after José Manuel de los Santos claimed in a television interview that CS-2 operates as a branch of the Armed Forces under a supposed Resolution 00506-2022. MIDE, led by Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, dismissed the statement as false, emphasizing that the Armed Forces have not authorized the group’s activities or the use of their name.

Reaffirming its commitment to national defense, sovereignty, and institutional integrity, the ministry encouraged citizens to rely on official sources for accurate information regarding its operations.
