Car catches fire in 27 de Febrero tunnel

Santo Domingo.- A car caught fire inside the tunnel on 27 de Febrero Avenue, near Churchill Street in the National District. Authorities have not yet confirmed if there were any injuries or casualties. The incident has caused significant traffic disruptions for vehicles traveling west to east through the tunnel. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution in the area.

A video circulating online shows the vehicle engulfed in flames near the tunnel’s dividing line, with some cars passing cautiously while others avoid the route entirely.
