American Airlines expands service to Punta Cana

Punta Cana.- American Airlines is strengthening its presence in the Caribbean with the addition of four new routes to Punta Cana (PUJ) starting December 6. These new services will connect the popular tourist destination with Indianapolis (IND), Nashville (BNA), Pittsburgh (PIT), and Raleigh-Durham (RDU), all operating on Saturdays with Boeing 737 aircraft.

José María Giraldo, General Manager of American Airlines for the region, highlighted the airline’s 50-year commitment to the Dominican Republic, noting that this expansion makes American Airlines the leading carrier to Punta Cana, with more than 20 peak-day flights to 11 U.S. destinations. The airline now offers over 30 peak-day departures from five Dominican airports, further solidifying its dominance in the country.
