Maintenance blackouts

The Electrical Transformer

The Southern Electricity Distribution Company (Edesur) announced yesterday that today there will be blackouts in the Ensanche Naco, Ensanche La Fe and Ensanche Kennedy and the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, National District, as part of its power transformer maintenance program.

In a note, it reported that due to the work that will be carried out in the Metropolitan electrical substation, the temporary interruptions of the electrical service will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The document indicates that it will carry out scheduled maintenance in the La Julia sector, which will require the partial suspension of electricity from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. meridian.

The entity stated in the text that it expressed “its gratitude for the understanding” in the face of the inconvenience that may be caused by the work that will be carried out in these sectors.

Edesur assured us that this initiative seeks to reduce the risk of failures in power transformers and extend their useful life, contributing to the stability and quality of the electrical service.
