Dominican Ministry of Culture to honor Rubby Pérez

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Culture will hold a posthumous tribute this Thursday to honor the late merengue legend Rubby Pérez, whose sudden death in the Jet Set nightclub collapse has deeply impacted the nation.

The farewell ceremony will be held at the Eduardo Brito National Theater from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., organized by Deputy Minister of Creativity and Artistic Training, Amaury Sánchez, in collaboration with various cultural institutions.

Artists, cultural leaders, and fans are expected to attend the solemn event to celebrate Pérez’s legacy and bid farewell to one of merengue’s most iconic voices. The tribute aims to both honor his memory and highlight his contributions to Dominican culture.
