Authorities strengthen security measures for Holy Week

Santo Domingo.- At the beginning of Holy Week, Tourism Minister David Collado led a working meeting with the Tourist Police (POLITUR) to coordinate security efforts. As part of this annual initiative, a new resolution was introduced to enhance safety measures during the Easter holiday.

The primary objective is to safeguard both locals and visitors by implementing more effective preventive actions across tourist destinations. Increased police presence and control operations are key components of this strategy.

The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR) and POLITUR also emphasized the importance of public cooperation, reminding citizens that individual responsibility plays a vital role in ensuring a safe and peaceful holiday.
