Santo Domingo – The Transportation Cabinet of the Presidency will present a set of 143 measures designed to mitigate traffic congestion in Santo Domingo in the coming weeks, as announced by the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza.

Measures studied with international advice

Paliza reported that these actions are the result of eight months of work, carried out with international advice, to improve urban mobility in the Dominican capital.

“Many will be disruptive, but necessary. They will be communicated before their implementation,” the Minister said on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Expectations and possible changes in traffic

Although specific details about the measures have not yet been revealed, the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (Intrant) clarified that this initiative is not part of the institution, as it had reported in previous days.

The authorities have assured that the measures will be communicated in detail before their implementation to prepare citizens for the changes that are coming.

The Transportation Cabinet is expected to provide more information in the coming weeks, marking a key step towards a comprehensive mobility solution in Santo Domingo.
