Authorities dismantle gang that assaulted the National District in the early hours of the morning

Santo Domingo – National District.- Agents of the National Police, attached to the Central Regional Directorate of the District, managed to arrest in flagrante delicto four members of a dangerous gang dedicated to perpetrating armed robberies during the early hours of the morning, in different sectors of the National District.

The detainees were identified as Gabriel Henríquez Vásquez, 21; María Estefany Mateo Peña, 27; Feliz David de Jesús Pozo (a) Pichón, 25, and Estefani Sánchez, of legal age, all residents of the Villa María sector.

The operation was carried out by members of the Preventive Police and Investigation personnel (Dicrim), who responded quickly to complaints from citizens affected by these antisocials, managing to apprehend them and recover a pistol with six 9mm caliber capsules, as well as several garments that had been stripped from their victims.

Likewise, a gray Nissan car, in which they were traveling, was seized.

The detainees will be placed under the control of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, while investigations are deepened to determine if they have pending records in other jurisdictions.
