The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) has forecast moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms, and gusty winds for today in Dajabón, Valverde, Santiago Rodríguez, Santiago, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, San Cristóbal, Espaillat, Sánchez Ramírez, Monte Plata, Independencia, and Elías Piña.
The weather forecasting agency also reported that the rains will also affect the provinces of Puerto Plata and María Trinidad Sánchez.
For Greater Santo Domingo, Meteorology expects isolated showers, thunderstorms, and occasional wind gusts due to a trough at different troposphere levels and increased humidity.
Indomet forecasts that temperatures will be low during the night and early morning, especially in mountainous areas and valleys, where fog or mist may also occur at night and in the morning.
The minimum temperature will be between 21°C and 23°C and the maximum between 31°C and 33°C.
