Pedro the Great on fast track toward Baseball Hall of Fame

New York.- Pedro Martinez, arguably baseball’s best pitcher during the 1990s to mid-2000s doesn’t have a long wait to enter the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown, New York.

Three Cy Young awards, a World Series trophy, five ERA titles and a 3-time strikeout champ are just some of the stats which showcase his brilliant career, as one of the Major League’s most dominant, unhittable pitchers, during an era when hitters reigned.

Martinez, ‘Pedro de Great, is on the ballot to enter Cooperstown, five years after ending an 18-season career, with over 200 wins and 3,000 strikeouts.

If elected, Martinez will be only the second Dominican in the Hall of Fame, after Juan Marichal.
