Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – Fashion for Compassion lit up the night with a sold-out, emotionally charged event at Mestizo Restaurant in Punta Cana this past Saturday. The gathering was a stunning success, uniting guests for a noble and deeply meaningful cause.
The evening was helmed by acclaimed producer Kiki Melendez, Sobeidy Vidal of Latin Fashion Week, and Alison Polanco of Camila Music Group, all of whom received heartfelt ovations for their impeccable production and dedication.
Three of the Dominican Republic’s top fashion designers—Tony Boga, Carolina Almonte, and RANIER—brought their creative brilliance to the runway. But the true stars were the young models from the Niños y Niñas de Cristo Foundation, whose presence embodied the spirit and soul of the evening.
The guest list included national and international personalities, including actors from the film Niños de Cristo: Ryan Reyes, Marissabela Marte, Troy Farmer, Jesenia Tapia, Jorge Yáñez, and others, who all supported the cause.
“It was an incredibly emotional night,” shared actress Judith Rodríguez, who stars in the film. “To gather everyone for a cause this vital—to create art with social purpose, to entertain with awareness, to touch and awaken—this always leads to powerful connection and unity. It’s beautiful to see Kiki on this clear path with Niños de Cristo.”
Nicole Valentina was in charge of conducting the master of ceremonies.
The evening also featured moving live performances of original songs from the film’s soundtrack by rising artists Sophia Angelica, DLS Renzo, Álvaro Carreño, and Camila Joaquín. One performer reflected, “The event was absolutely beautiful. I felt so proud and joyful to be part of this project. The trailer touched everyone’s heart—including mine.”
