Dajabón.- The governor of northeastern Haiti, Dionel Germán, oversaw the installation of a new border gate on the bridge over the Massacre River this Sunday, aiming to enhance security and control along the border with the Dominican Republic.
Germán clarified that the initiative is not intended to harm bilateral relations but to reinforce surveillance in the area. “This gate is not to separate, it is to protect,” he emphasized.
To ensure proper oversight of the project, Germán and regional vice-governor Mirbel Charles established an official commission to supervise the work at the site.
