Grupo Posadas unveils Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana, opening summer 2025

Punta Cana, DR.- Grupo Posadas is set to expand its Caribbean footprint with the upcoming launch of Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana, a family-focused resort slated to open in summer 2025 adjacent to the adults-only Live Aqua Punta Cana.

The new property will feature a lively mix of recreational and leisure amenities, catering to guests of all ages. Highlights include a multi-level water park, a state-of-the-art bowling alley, and dedicated courts for padel, basketball and soccer. The resort will also share Live Aqua’s modern convention center, featuring ten multifunctional ballrooms equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology ideal for both corporate gatherings and celebratory events.

It was during the DATE 2025 celebration that Grupo Posadas formally unveiled its plans. At an exclusive gathering held at Live Aqua Punta Cana, tour operators and key accounts learned the details of this fresh concept, which aims to blend “fun” and “unique” experiences—hence the name Funeeq.

“Fiesta Americana Funeeq Punta Cana embodies our vision of celebrating life through unforgettable moments,” said Enrique Calderón, Vice President of Upscale & Luxury Operations for Grupo Posadas. “From family vacations and friend get-togethers to business events, we want every stay to be nothing short of extraordinary.”

Also speaking at the event, Tania Berger, President of Berger Group Hotels, expressed her excitement for the new resort and shared news of another recent acquisition. “We’re thrilled not only about Funeeq in Punta Cana but also about our upcoming addition in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, which will further strengthen Grupo Posadas’ presence in the region,” she noted.

Guests at the announcement reception enjoyed handcrafted cocktails as they watched a breathtaking Caribbean sunset, setting the tone for what promises to be one of the most dynamic resort openings of 2025.
