Dominicans in New Jersey to remember Juan Pablo Duarte

Union City, NJ.– Union City Mayor Brian Stack, the Board of Commissioners and several local Dominican organizations will hold a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the birth of Juan Pablo Duarte, one of the Dominican Republic’s founding fathers.

The ceremony, including the raising of the Dominican Republic flag, will take place on Monday, Jan. 26 at noon at International Park on the corner of Palisade Avenue and 38th Street. Depending on the weather conditions, the ceremony will be relocated to the lobby of 3700 Palisade Ave.
