Spain appoints Lorea Arribalzaga as new ambassador to the Dominican Republic

Madrid.- The Spanish government has appointed Lorea Arribalzaga Ceballos as the new ambassador to the Dominican Republic. A career diplomat, Arribalzaga holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto and joined Spain’s diplomatic service in 2001.

She most recently served as Spain’s ambassador to Slovakia since 2021. Her academic credentials also include a postgraduate program in Public Management Leadership from the IESE Business School.

Throughout her diplomatic career, she has held key roles within Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Deputy Director General for Andean Countries and Deputy Director General for Development Policies.
