Joaquin churns up Atlantic coast, spurs flash flood warning

Santo Domingo.- TheNational Weather Office (Onamet) continues its flash flood warning along the Atlanticcoast on Friday and advises small craft to stay in port.

It said swimmersshould avoid beach and water sports in the area on higher than normal waves andwinds associated with Hurricane Joaquin.

Onamet also forecastsscattered showers mostly over the north and northwest regions, while the waveswill return to normal along the entire Atlantic coast over the weekend.
