British Chamber bids UK envoy Steven Fisher farewell

Santo Domingo.- TheBritish Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (BRITCHAM) on Tuesday hosteda reception for Steven M. Fisher, Ambassador of her Majesty of the UnitedKingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who concludes his diplomatic missionafter six years in the country.

British Chamber ofCommerce president Jose A. Rodriguez presented Fisher a plaque of appreciationin recognition for his diplomatic efforts and stressed the British Envoy´s pushto boost trade and cultural exchange between the UK and the Dominican Republic.

Associates and membersof the British Chamber of Commerce and of the British Embassy attended the receptionheld at Mitre Restaurant, with toasts by the companies UnitedBrands, El Catadorand Diageo.
